you'll need to modify your N64 to play it, IIRC. yeah, you need to take the top off your N64 if you want to play that, to circumvent Nintendo's region locking, which was part of the slot you fit the cartridge into.

don't hack it apart. literally you just need a gamebit to get the original proprietary screws out of the bottom (those are cheap online) and then two phillips head screws to remove the USA cartridge slot holder. once that is removed you can fit the top back on and plug the game in.

IIRC, it's F-Zero GP Legends, and it's based on the game of the same name that came out for the GBA years ago. The story actually focused on a young cop infiltrated in the F-Zero championship to try and arrest Black Falcon, Captain Falcon's "evil twin".

I haven't watched the anime, but the game was one of the best for the GBA.

I have played it on an emulator before... gameplay it's actually pretty awful, but the graphics are the best for that era.

Hope you know your way around japanese since this doesn't have any option to change the language
